Gatwick ExpressThe agency Hedger Mitchell Stark (HMS) were chosen to create and produce the campaign to launch Gatwick Express in 1984. They were a young, keen, ‘hungry‘ and a very creative advertising agency. Despite only being allocated a production budget of £30,000, HMS devised this powerful and clever animation of the BR logo. The voice over at the end of the frustrated motorist is by Jeff Stark, the agency‘s Creative Director, it saved money! HMS were bought out by Saatchi & Saatchi in December 1984. Jeff Stark continues to be one of the world‘s leading advertising ‘creatives‘.
